This week, the Republican Party showed its true colors after they reestablished their public support for Roy Moore, the man currently running for Senator of Alabama. Moore, for those unaware, has been under fire recently after a multitude of women have come forward claiming the newly disgraced judge sexually assaulted them when they were underage – and he was in his 30’s! His disgusting behavior towards young girls was so disturbing, he was actually banned from a shopping mall in his home state. The man is, without a doubt, a sexual predator.
And while you’d think it would be easy for the RNC to distance themselves from Roy Moore (which they initially did), you may be surprised to hear that they’ve just reinstated their support for this known sex offender. Pretty sh*tty, right? The only reason for doing so, was purely to not go against their GOP-elected POTUS, Donald Trump.
That, as you could imagine, did not sit well with millions of Americans – Republicans, included. One such member of the GOP, Senator Bob Sasse, made some comments on Twitter about the whole ordeal and Americans took notice. On Trump’s favorite social media platform, Senator Sasse wrote, “This is a bad decision and very sad day. I believe the women–and RNC previously did too. What’s changed? Or is the party just indifferent?” He then followed it up with another tweet, this time saying:
If the political committee that I'm a part of (the NRSC) decides to contribute here, I will no longer be a donor to or fund-raiser for it. https://t.co/uN8nsPfCBU

Well done, sir. We appreciate you taking a stand against these corrupt Republicans, Senator Sasse. Hopefully, a number of your peers will see your messages as inspiration to take action, as well.
Alabama, do the right thing. When that special election comes around, use your vote wisely. Vote for Doug Jones.
