Trump Administration Completely Caught Off-Guard By George W. Bush’s Major Statement

This week, the president said he would “love” another government shutdown over immigration.

Democratic Senator Tim Kaine later chaffed him for wanting more “Executive Time” to tweet and munch on bed burgers in the morning.

Trump is currently using DREAMers as a political pawn to demand funds for his outrageous wall at the Mexican border. A new poll already proved that a majority of Americans oppose his vanity wall, and there is a court case that could further thwart its production. Nevertheless, Trump wants his wall and enhanced border security to keep his racist supporters happy.

Former President George W. Bush commented on the U.S. immigration situation at a summit in Abu Dhabi. According to the Associated Press, Bush stated:

“Americans don’t want to pick cotton at 105 degrees, but there are people who want to put food on their family’s tables and are willing to do that.”

He added, “We ought to say thank you and welcome them.”

Bush hit the nail on the head. Crops are rotting throughout California and Oregon because farmers can’t find immigrants to work in their fields. Trump wants people to believe that he is saving American jobs, but Americans won’t do these jobs.

The former president then commented on the DACA predicament. Bush said of the DREAMers, “America’s their home.”
